Paying attention to life - (12.22.13)

Posted by Katerina Edwards on

Little bits of the day slip away into the peripheral sounds.
Powertools and lawnmowers humming, birds chirping,
Life opening to the light of day
And allowing it to infuse our beings.

Orange blossoms dance in the wind
and so do the spinning subtle movements
of streamlined leaves in the distance.

Stillness happens
in the movement of life,
in the attention we pay
to the rhythms and
dancing motions of
everyday living.
So long as there is something beautiful
for me to rest my gaze upon,
I am content.

Landscaper,
when you manicure the gardens
You make them sing.
